Country storytelling rooted in the upper midwest, Aaron Clafton aims to provide a different perspective to country music. Growing up in central Minnesota, Clafton takes a homegrown approach to his songwriting and production style bringing listeners to the backroads and corn fields of Benton County, MN.
Clafton made the pilgrimage to Nashville, TN in 2016 after graduating from Bemidji State University with a degree in Marketing Communications. Once Clafton got acclimated to the Nashville music scene he focused on honing his craft as a songwriter and in June of 2019 released his first single "Spare Key." Clafton followed the success of his first single with two other singles "Matches" and "Burn Me." Then in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Clafton was inspired to continue to create. With the help of a friend with a home studio they recorded Claftons first Acoustic EP, "Kentucky Ave" which was released in November 2020.
The summer of 2021 reignited Claftons passion of performing in a live setting. Clafton got the opportunity to open for Dustin Lynch, Jordan Davis, Jo Dee Messina and Blackhawk at FireFest in Cold Spring, MN. Looking forward Clafton is focused on writing for his next project.
